Bethany Christian Trust supports homeless and vulnerable people in Scotland to find, equip and maintain a home within their local community. The Trust also supports individuals and families to help them tackle long-term homelessness and related problems such as addictions, debt, unemployment and social isolation.

Bethany Christian Trust Aberdeen

Bethany runs or is involved with the following initiatives:

  • Befriending Aberdeen – seeks to help older people enjoy a better quality of life. Through the befriending service, people are encouraged to get active and to build new friendships to help combat isolation and loneliness.
  • The Quay Project – a city centre drop in service which caters for marginalised and vulnerable people within the community.
  • Kings Community Project – responding to the needs of homeless and vulnerable people in the city, focusing on advice and information, accommodation and resettlement support, healthcare, work and education opportunities, social and personal support.
  • Passing the Baton – a practical volunteering project working across Scotland to help people in danger of becoming homeless to settle into communities and build up their own social networks.
