Colin is one of our lay elders, although sometimes he feels like he has two full time jobs!
He works for a Leadership Development company, is married to Lynsey (a different one from Martin!) and has three children, Kyle, Jonah and Lauren.
Among a number of elder responsibilities Colin is actively involved in the worship band.
Colin is a passionate guy. Passionate about his family, about seeing young people grow in faith, men’s ministry, snowboarding and watching baseball!
What is the first that comes to mind when you think about God?
I am often struck by the magnitude of God – His power, His strength, His holiness.
What book have you read recently that you would recommend?
I have loved reading David Platt’s book Radical recently – among other things, it focusses on God’s heart for unreached people groups and the poor.
Pass times/Hobbies
I love snowboarding (but don’t get to do it often enough), I try to run (but I’m not as disciplined as I should be) and I play guitar.
If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
I have travelled pretty extensively, but I have never been to Australia. That is definitely somewhere I would like to visit.
