Scott is married to Rachel and they have two children, Zoe and Rory.
He studied Accounting and Finance at Robert Gordon University where he graduated in 2004 before embarking on a year working with BMS World Mission. Prior to joining Hillview Community Church as Youth and Outreach Pastor in September 2013, Scott worked for 8 years as an analyst with Aberdeen Asset Management.
Scott is very keen on sport – more watching than playing these days – and his favourite website is probably the BBC Sport page.
He has a passion to see young people grow in their faith in Jesus Christ. To fully understand what it means to call on Him as their Lord and Saviour and realise the radical life that we have been called to live in worship of Him! To see the church being the light wherever it is situated and take on the call of Matthew 28:19 and Romans 10:14-15 (please go and read them!!).
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about God?
Favourite Bible character?
Paul. The power of God to turn a life around and use them for His glory and purpose is displayed so evidently in his story.
I still enjoy playing the odd game of football, watching movies, watching any sport (a part from darts – that’s not a sport!)
I watch way too many movies to be able to pick out one favourite, so here are a few. Back to the Future Trilogy, State of Play, Gladiator, Ground Hog Day, Indiana Jones Trilogy (there was no fourth film!!), Remember the Titans and Salmon Fishing in the Yemen. I could go on, but won’t!
